Credentials

Card and fob readers for staff who come and go

Issue a credential, set a schedule, revoke it when someone leaves. We install proximity readers and enrol cards or fobs for offices, clinics, warehouses, and shared facilities across the GTA.

Card Readers installation by Ultimate Security

Card readers turn access into something facilities and HR can manage. Instead of chasing keys across Whitby and the GTA, you assign a fob to a person, limit it to certain doors and hours, and disable it the day their role ends. Ultimate Security installs readers that match your door traffic and controller platform.

Mounting height, cable path, and weather exposure matter — especially on exterior staff doors facing Ontario winters. We run supervised data and power, present the reader cleanly on the frame or wall, and program the controller so first unlocks succeed before we hand over spare credentials.

Readers also create an audit trail. When something goes missing from a stockroom or a door is propped after hours, you can see which credential was used. Pair readers with cameras at the same entrance for video context around each unlock event.

FAQ

Questions about card readers

Cards or fobs — which should we use?

Both work with proximity readers. Fobs are durable on keyrings; cards fit wallets and badge holders. Many sites mix both. We enrol whatever format you prefer.

Can one card open multiple doors?

Yes. Permissions are set per user or user group across doors on the same access system.

What happens if an employee loses a fob?

Disable that credential in the software immediately and issue a replacement. The lost fob will no longer unlock doors.
